Administrative Council:
The President is assisted by an Administrative Council (12 – 18 members) and the office bearers elected by the General Assembly
General Assembly:
The General Assembly of the French sponsoring groups meet once a year to take stock of the functioning of LACIM worldwide, to confirm the decisions of the Administrative council, to accept the financial statements, to approve the budget for the coming year, to make plans for the future and to elect members to the Administrative Council.
Representatives:
In order to co-ordinate the work of various villages, the Administrative Council appoints representatives for various regions. They interact between the Head Office, the French Groups, the Project Holders, the committee members and the beneficiaries. They visit their projects at least once a year to share friendship with the beneficiaries, guide the projects, check the accounts and send regular reports to the Head Office as well as to the French sponsoring groups.
The Project Holders & the committee members:
They are the people who are responsible for running the projects in a particular place. The local LACIM committee consists of 5 or more people. They are selected from the area irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Either the PH or one of the committee members corresponds with the FG on a regular basis. A minimum of 4 letters in a year is to be written to the FG with a copy to the representative. The project holder and the committee members shall follow the directives issued by the representative. In the letters must give the FG with photos precise information about what is being done with the donations received, their daily lives, life in the village, work food customs, festivals and proposals for the development of the twinned place. They should also keep accounts of the donations received and expenditure incurred with vouchers/bills/receipts. These are to be shown to the representative as and when he visits the project. These accounts are to be audited and the audited statement sent to the FG and to the representative. LACIM financial year is from the 1st of January to the 31st of December.
